Karnataka Rajyotsava 2024 Celebrations at Nazareth School, Banakal

Nazareth School in Banakal hosted a vibrant Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration, organized by the Banakal Kasapa Unit. The event featured speeches, cultural performances, and the felicitation of local athletes.

BK Dinesh, president of Bettagere village panchayat, inaugurated the event, emphasizing that Kannada is a “language of wealth” and must be preserved in our hearts. DK Laxman Gowda, president of Kasapa Mudigere taluk unit, highlighted the 2,500-year history of Kannada and the need to protect it for future generations.

Maggalamakki Ganesh, the event’s convenor, called for more activities to nurture Kannada, while G.H. Srinivas, head teacher of Banakal High School, stressed the importance of primary education in Kannada for its growth.

The event also honored Sharanya, Ankita, and S.G. Dhruti, gold medalists in sports. Pro-Kannada activist Horatti Raghu and community leaders, including Lavakumar, BS Vikram, and Shivarame Gowda, were present to support the celebration.

This event not only celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava but also reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting the Kannada language for future generations.
