Environmental concerns

The students of scout and guide went to Devara Mane the tourist place in Banakal. They picked up sacks full of plastic bottles, plastics, and other waste which was thrown on the hill. There were 22 students accompanied by Mr. Praveen Physical education teacher and Mrs. Diana D’Souza the school nurse. Took part in a social service initiative aimed at promoting community well-being and environmental conservation. The activity was part of their ongoing commitment to serve society and inculcate values of compassion, leadership, and teamwork. Cleanliness Drive: The students organized a cleanliness campaign in the local community. Armed with gloves, brooms, and trash bags, they cleaned the hill at Deveramane, a public place. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of a clean environment and to encourage residents to keep their surroundings litter-free.The social service activities conducted by the Scout and Guide students had a positive impact on the community. Their efforts not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also fostered a spirit of collaboration among residents. The initiative received appreciation from the local authorities and motivated other students to participate in similar activities. Through these efforts, the Scouts and Guides demonstrated their commitment to the principles of community service, peace, and ecological justice
